What is the school profile?
The School Profile is your institution’s public-facing information hub on the CollegeVine platform. It plays an important role in shaping how students and families perceive your college or university.
This profile is pre-loaded using publicly available data from IPEDS (the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System). Because of that, some fields may not reflect recent updates or initiatives unique to your school.
While much of this data is sourced from federal databases, you can ensure it’s accurate and up-to-date by making targeted edits.
What Information Does the School Profile Include?
Basic Info
School name, address, and website URL.
Admissions
Admission rate, testing policies (SAT/ACT), recommendation letter requirements, TOEFL policy for international applicants, use of the Common App, and cost data.
Campus Data
Key student-focused metrics like student-to-faculty ratio, diversity breakdowns, gender policy, percentage of international students, retention rates, and graduation rates.
