This guide walks you through creating a CollegeVine partner account using your institutional email address. The steps below ensure secure access to the platform and help verify that only authorized staff members connect with your institution’s data.

How to create your account
Go to www.collegevine.com and click Sign up.
Use your .edu email - create an account with your .edu email using your preferred method. Email and password or Google Authentication are the most commonly used options.
Confirm you are institutional staff - when prompted, select Yes to confirm that you work at an educational institution. You will then be asked to identify your role and the school you represent.
Complete the welcome walkthrough - you will move through five short screens introducing key elements of CollegeVine network.
NOTE- these network screens are only relevant if you are using the CollegeVine network to recruit prospective students.
Click Continue on each screen until you reach the confirmation message that reads: “We’ll email you a link to get started shortly.”
Please close out of this page while you wait for verification.
Wait for Verification - you will not receive the verification email immediately. Each request is individually reviewed by the CollegeVine team to protect institutional data and prevent unauthorized access.
Once your request has been reviewed, you will receive an email with a verification link sent to your .edu address. If it does not appear, check your spam or junk folder.
Verify Your Account - Click the link in your verification email to access your CollegeVine partner dashboard.
Important: The verification link expires after one hour. If it expires, email [email protected] and our team will be happy to complete your verification.

If you accidentally selected that you are not staff and created a student account, reach out to your onboarding team or email [email protected]. We will adjust your account so you can access the partner login.

Most users sign up using email and password or Google authentication.
Setting up single sign-on (SSO)
Single Sign-On (SSO) allows your institution’s staff to sign in to CollegeVine using your internal identity provider. This improves security and simplifies staff access management.

Open your self-service SSO ticket
A member of the CollegeVine Implementation team will send you a self-service ticket URL. This link opens your SSO configuration portal.
Select the custom SAML option
Inside the portal, choose Custom SAML to begin configuring your connection.
Configure your identity provider
Enter the Auth0-provided details into your identity provider’s configuration fields. These values authenticate the connection between your system and CollegeVine.
Provide your metadata
Upload your metadata file or provide your metadata URL.
Using a URL is recommended because it allows your configuration to stay in sync automatically as long as the URL remains consistent.
If you upload a file and your metadata changes in the future, notify your CollegeVine team so we can update your settings manually.
Create your connection
Select Create Connection to finalize your setup in the portal.
Notify your implementation team
Once you complete the self-service steps, let your CollegeVine Implementation team know. They will finish the remaining internal configuration and confirm when your SSO connection is active.
