Launching a Mission with your AI Recruiter
Missions let your AI Recruiter deliver personalized outreach across email, SMS, or phone, based on your goals, audience, and timing. Whether you want to boost applications, increase event attendance, or guide students through next steps, Missions give you full control and flexibility.
Here’s how to launch one:
💡 Reminder: Get consent before sending Missions
Before sending a Mission to students—especially via phone or SMS—make sure you’ve collected consent to contact them.
If you haven’t collected consent yet, no worries—your AI Recruiter is designed to help you stay compliant by automatically excluding students without recorded consent. For example, if you upload a lead list and the Mission shows a smaller audience than expected, it’s likely because some students haven’t opted in. Students can opt out of communications at any time.
Refer to TCPA guidelines for further ways to stay compliant.
1. Log in to CollegeVine
Navigate to AI Recruiter > Missions > New Mission
2. Define the objective
Start with your goal. What should this outreach accomplish?
Example: “Invite students to learn more about Monza University by visiting campus or our website.”
3. Select your audience
Choose how you want to build your audience:
Option A: Filter
Use CRM filters to define a dynamic group.
Example: Filter by Consents to AI Phone Calls = true
Turn on Dynamic Audience so any new students who meet your criteria will be automatically added.
Option B: Group
Upload a specific list via CSV.
You can follow this manual import guide if needed.
4. Choose communication method
Select email, SMS, or phone, depending on your campaign.
5. Customize your Mission
You’ll be prompted to complete the following fields:
Internal details: Add a clear title and description to help your team track the Mission (e.g., “Recurring Phone Mission to Students with AI Consent”).
Instructions for the AI Recruiter: Tell the AI what to say or do.
Example (Phone): “Craft a message inviting students to explore Monza University further by visiting our campus or exploring our website. Highlight the opportunity to experience the campus atmosphere firsthand or to find detailed information about programs and events online.”
Example (Email): “Send an email encouraging students to schedule a 1:1 meeting with admissions.”
6. Set a schedule
Define when and how often students will be contacted.
End date: Choose when this Mission should stop (e.g., your application deadline).
Max messages per student: How many times should each student be contacted?
Min time between messages: Set the interval between messages (e.g., every 7 or 30 days).
7. Preview and launch
Test your message in web or phone format before launch.
Once satisfied, hit Launch to activate your Mission.
